HHB Communications has announced the appointment of Andy Copeland to the role of technical sales support engineer.

Copeland (pictured) is a graduate of the University of Huddersfield’s Music Technology program, where he completed work experience as an Avid Pro Audio Sales Advisor and qualified as an Avid Certified Support Representative (ACSR PT400).

He joins HHB’s award-winning technical sales support department, delivering first-line support for Avid Pro Tools customers, and will help provide product configuration and installation, after-sales support, repairs and training for Pro Tools and other MAC and PC-based DAWs.

Steve Angel, HHB's group sales director, commented: “We welcome Andy in joining the most experienced team of professional audio support engineers in the industry. He came highly recommended from Avid and his experience will further increase our efforts to provide expert technical support to the UK’s leading facilities.”

“I had the privilege of working with HHB and Scrub when I was with Avid and always held them in very high esteem," Copeland added. "Their technical knowledge and experience is well known throughout the industry and it is really exciting to join a team with such a great reputation.”

Avid’s EMEA Audio Top Channel Partner in 2013 and 2014, HHB and its audio post subsidiary Scrub have installed over 50 Avid S6 control surfaces to some of the UK’s leading broadcast, audio post and educational facilities, including Envy, Gorilla Bristol, Wave Studios, Silverglade, LipSync, Encore, Smoke & Mirrors, the University of the West of England and more. In addition to high-level Pro Tools support, HHB also offers its customers Europe's largest independent pro-audio service facility.
