Source Distribution has announced the appointment of Andy Bensley to the newly created position of professional audio product specialist.
Bensley’s role will focus on providing product training, pre-sales advice and expert demonstrations on all Source-distributed products with a particular emphasis on Source’s high-end studio brands, such as Genelec, Universal Audio, API, Eventide, PreSonus, Event and Lynx.
Bensley will be available to provide Source dealers with staff training and hold in-store demonstrations and clinics, while end users will be able to call upon his services should they require a detailed one-to-one product demonstration in their own studio. Meanwhile, he will be working closely with Source’s in-house marketing department to create product demonstration and tutorial videos aimed at both dealers and end-users.
Graduating in Audio Engineering from the SAE Institute in Liverpool in 2005, Bensley went on to work as a full time studio and FOH engineer in his native North East, before honing his pro audio retail skills at Sound Control in Stockton and Digital Village in North London.
Howard Jones, Source’s director of Distributed Brands said: “Source has always been focussed on finding ways to proactively sell products, and we’d like Source dealers to think of Andy as an extension of their own sales team – someone with impeccable product knowledge, great customer skills and a real passion for professional audio equipment. We’re really excited about this new role and are convinced it’ll help drive sales of our premium brands even further.”
