London-based producer Mark Rankin (pictured) has chosen Unity Audio Rock MK II monitors for his tracking and mixing requirements.
Additionally, Bernard Sumner from New Order recently bought three pairs of Rock MK IIs.
Rankin has used the MK IIs on recent albums including Aluna George – Body Music, Willy Moon – Here's Willy Moon, Lianne La Havas – Is Your Love Big Enough? and Queens of the Stone Age – …Like Clockwork.
“When I first got them it was a revelation, its what I've been looking for but I've never been able to find these qualities in a near-field before,” he said. “They're smooth in the top end and have amazing bass extension and depth that goes on and on. I can see the bass, you get this picture like nothing else and you know where you are with them. Before the Rocks I was always going back to the usual NS10s, but now I'm so confident in the Rocks I've finally put the NS10s out to pasture!”
