Miloco has partnered with two more studios in western Europe: Spain's Estudis Ground, and Fridão Natura Recording, which marks its first foray into Portugal.
Housed in a vine-covered building (pictured, below) Estudis Ground is a residential recording studio located between the Pyrenees mountains and the Mediterranean Sea that brings together the best in audio recording and home comforts with on-site artist accommodation, Miloco says.
Estudis' three recording rooms – the main room, piano room and vocal booth – all provide their own unique sonic and recording capabilities, as well as a variety of equipment, backline and instruments.
These rooms are clustered around the control room, where clients can utilise the brand new custom Ocean Audio console (hand-built by Malcolm Toft), Pro Tools, and a wide selection of outboard and mics from brands such as Universal Audio, dbx, TC Electronic, AKG, Neumann and Shure.
In neighbouring Portugal and sitting atop a small hillside among rows of grape vines, Fridão Natura Recording (main picture) is situated in an old hunter's house, which uses its wide windows and glass doors to take full advantage of the 'breathtaking' views.
The abundance of natural light and natural setting make for a tranquil and relaxed writing and recording environment, according to Miloco. Given the remote location, the studio enables users to record both inside and outside, without disturbing any neighbours.
The ground floor is home to a very large control room, equipped with kit from the likes of Focusrite, Neve and Sennheiser, while upstairs is wholly dedicated to a large and sunny live room stocked with an array of backline including amps, guitars, keyboards and percussion. The studio provides a range of services, and is described as being 'ideal for bands on a budget wishing to write and record in a stunning location.'
