The 60th annual Grammy Awards took place at the weekend at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, with Bruno Mars taking home six from six nominations, including the three most prestigious prizes: album of the year, record of the year and song of the year. 

His clean sweep meant that Kendrick Lamar was able to pick up only five awards from his seven nominations. Jay-Z, a local favourite at the show, left empty-handed, despite having topped the nominations list this year with eight.
