It seems our recent news story on the forthcoming launch of Pono, Neil Young's much-hyped new digital music service was popular among Audio Pro International readers.

Young revealed the release date for Pono while accepting the President's Merit Award from the Producers & Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy at the Village Studios in LA, five days before the 56th Grammy Awards.

But that wasn't the only topic the singer-songwriter covered that night – far from it. He also used the opportunity to share his preferred approaches to recording and his thoughts on digital, as well as why striving to create "magic" in the studio is so important to him.
