Prolight + Sound 2015 will see the European launch of Sennheiser’s evolution wireless D1 microphone series, alongside a showcase of products from across the manufacturer’s range.
The new digital systems are totally self-configuring and offer intelligent frequency management and automatic sensitivity adjustment, with the evolution capsules being included in the 2.4 GHz version, supplemented by an instrument set, a lavalier set and a headset version.
As well as the D1 systems, the evolution wireless G3, 1.8 GHz evolution wireless systems and all the wired evolution microphones will be present at the manufacturer’s stand. Also on show are the MK 4 and MK 8, the 2000 series wireless systems, wireless monitoring, XS wireless, professional and DJ headphones and the Momentum and Urbanite headphones.
The Sennheiser stand will even include a stage where a total of ten newcomer bands are expected to perform.
Ingo Angres, marketing manager of live performance and MI is excited about Sennheiser’s new location at the show: “The move to Hall 5 brings Sennheiser closer to the users, the music and the stage, and this is also reflected in the new stand design,” he said.
The company also plans to take the opportunity to expand upon its ‘D1 and Only’ competition, announced earlier this year, as Angres explained:
“For anyone wanting to take part in the ‘D1 and Only’ contest: play on our stage, we will record your cover version of ‘The One and Only’ and have a videographer on hand to help you with the video.”
