The new model, Marantz’ first-ever 11.2-channel AV amplifier, is compatible with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro 3D soundtracks, and is designed to deliver immersive sound for a “full movie experience.”
Its powerful DSP can accommodate a complete 7.1.4-channel or 9.1.2-channel 3D immersive sound system without any further amplification. With an 11.2-channel design, and an oversized power supply, the amplifier is capable of delivering 205W per channel.
Conforming to the latest HDMI and HDCP standards, the SR8012 has the ability to upscale standard and high definition analogue and digital video content to 4K Ultra HD. The audio section is similarly advanced, with the SR8012 able to decode up to 24-bit/192-kHz ALAC, FLAC, and WAV lossless files as well as DSD 2.8MHz and 5.6MHz tracks via the front panel USB port and network sources for high-res audio.
Set up and room equalisation is made easy with Audyssey MultEQ XT32, LFC, Sub EQ HT, Dynamic Volume, and DynamicEQ. The SR8012 is equipped for integration with third party home automation systems, with IP Control, 12V triggers, RS232 control, and Crestron Connected compatibility.
