For AES 2013 Radial Engineering will have new products on hand to demo at booth 2573.
The Voco-Loco is a combination microphone preamp and effects loop insert that enables a lead vocalist, brass instrumentalist, or harmonica player to incorporate guitar effects pedals into their signal path by engaging a simple footswitch.
The USB-Pro high-resolution stereo direct box (pictured) is designed to convert sound files from a laptop computer and transfer them to a pair of balanced audio outputs to feed a PA, recording, or broadcast mixing console.
The StageDirect is a direct box that combines all of the standard features one would find in a DI with the added convenience of being able to mute the signal using a footswitch for silent on-stage tuning or to quietly switch instruments without having to turn down the PA system or put the stage amp on standby.
Radial has added four models to its lineup of StageBug direct boxes: StageBug SB-1, designed to fit inside the string pocket of a guitar case; StageBug SB-2 Passive, for the traveling musician who wants big sound in a small package; StageBug SB-4 Piezo, specifically developed to solve the problems associated with amplifying acoustic instruments when using piezo-electric transducers; and StageBug SB-5 Sidewinder Laptop, a DI designed for quick deployment on busy stages and for the AV system tech.
A new addition to the 500 series range of modules is the PreComp combination preamp and compressor, while the PreMax channel strip is a combination preamp and three-band equaliser module for the 500 series format.
Radial has also updated the SW8 backing track switcher with several new features and functions.
