Portuguese acoustic solutions manufacturer Vicoustics has announced the release of its Multi Fuser Wood diffusion panel.
The new diffuser is designed for use in such venues as concert halls, hi-fi rooms and recording studios, where substantial diffusion is required without too much absorption occurring at the same time.
The two-dimensional panel, which is based on a QRD sequence combined with changing reflection techniques (a result of the angled surface), is made in two parts. Each part can be rotated in different directions in order to achieve omni-directional scattering of sound, with optimised diffusion of mid and low frequencies. Multi Fuser Wood is available in two versions covering different frequency ranges: Multi Fuser Wood 36 works between 470Hz and 10kHz, while Multi Fuser Wood 64 works between 310Hz and 8kHz.
