SLS has become the second company in France to join Adamson’s Project Energia as a Beta Partner.
The French company’s loudspeaker inventory is made up entirely of Adamson products, including Metrix, SpekTrix, Y10, Y18, SX 18, Point Series and M series monitors, housed in a 36,000sq ft building in Ales, with a second location in Montpellier.
While SLS’ principal focus is mainly on festivals and corporate events, it also provides sound production for some tours. Its main client since 2007 is the French band 'Les Ogres Barback' (often nicknamed The Ogre). The Ogre are currently on tour with the company’s new Adamson E15 system.
The new E15 system was sold by Adamson's long-time French distributors DV2. Leon van Empel, SLS' owner and production manager commented on its history: "Our relationship with Adamson and DV2 is simply a wonderful success story. DV2 not only offers first class support and service, but they also offer the best sound reinforcement products and turnkey packages available on the market. Since our first investment in our hire department, we have evolved to break through into the permanent installation field as well. We started as a small local company with some enthusiastic technicians; and have since steadily attracted bigger and better jobs."
He also discussed the excitement around Project Energia: "The Adamson Y10 and Y18 are masters of their class. No discussion. Therefore we were very excited to get our hands on the new E15. Thanks to the advancements of Adamson's exceptional proprietary drivers and fantastic easy-to-use-rigging, the system is demonstrating a precise and smooth coverage with incredible power and extraordinary clarity in every venue so far. But it's truly no surprise, it is the Adamson signature."
Brock Adamson, president and CEO of Adamson Systems Engineering concluded: "SLS has been a committed Adamson provider in France for years. When we invited our key European partners to preview Energia in its infancy last year, SLS was right at the top of the list. We have no doubt that Leon and his team will be a great addition to the global team of Energia users."
