Advanced steerable audio specialist Pan Beam has appointed Glasgow-based CUK Audio as its distributor for the UK.
Germany-based Pan Beam’s range of self-powered, DSP controlled column loudspeakers are designed to provide ideal solutions for speech and music in the most challenging environments, delivering optimum sound quality in halls and other reverberant spaces.
Stuart Thomson, managing director of CUK Audio, commented: “With steerable columns being established in the market place over the last 10-plus years, many companies have engineered their own solutions as part of an existing range of products in an attempt to tap into the growing market. We have looked at the various solutions appearing in the market and all had their strengths and weaknesses. We were looking for a company that specialised in steerable products that had leading technology and the feature set that the market needed. We ultimately wanted outstanding performance combined with simple, intuitive system set-up, so that the installer doesn't need to be a programming expert to get great results.
“In Pan Beam we found exactly this”, continued Thomson. “But we also found a comprehensive range covering all of the applications that beam steering would be applicable for and a far more architecturally pleasing form factor than many other products on the market. Big box section steerable columns are a thing of the past - the market has moved on as architects and designers have more influence than ever. Just because a space is acoustically difficult doesn't mean that people are prepared to compromise on aesthetics.”
Jan Leerschool, International Sales manager of Pan Bean, added: “CUK has the technical resources and a strong portfolio of synergetic brands, combined with excellent relationships with key integrators and consultants. I am pleased to have them as Pan Beam’s distributor and am confident we will see good sales in the key UK market.”
