Pro audio partners Tannoy, Lab.gruppen and Lake are gearing up for an eventful Prolight + Sound 2012, as the company’s look ahead to the Frankfurt event.
Taking place at the Frankfurt Messe from March 21st -24th the three brands will be exhibiting their product lines for touring and installation applications to Hall 8, Stand E80, including the debut appearance at PL+S of the latest evolution of Lake’s LM Series of digital audio system processors, LM 44, as well as a preview of the brand new developments with Lake Controller software. Tannoy’s brand new VLS Series passive column array will also be on show, following its international debut at ISE 2012 earlier this year.
Lab.gruppen’s flagship PLM Series, including the PLM 20000Q, will be heading up the touring front, while the LM 44 digital audio system processor, the latest addition to Lake’s LM Series, which includes the LM 26, will also be showcased. The LM 44 is geared towards the role of a Dedicated Audio System Processor, with an input/output configuration of four analogue inputs and four analogue outputs, in contrast to the LM 26’s 2-in/6-out.
Lake will also be providing an advanced preview of its brand new Lake Controller software, marking a step forward in the development of the live sound-processing environment. Version 6 will feature support for the forthcoming Yamaha MY8-LAKE card along with a host of improvements designed to optimise performance and functionality, including integration with Smaart v7 and WaveCapture’s Live-Capture real-time spectrum analysis software systems. TC Group’s Josh Evans will be on hand to present daily seminars on the latest developments with Lake Controller and PLM Series and LM Series hardware integration.
Following its launch at ISE 2012, Tannoy’s VLS Series passive column array loudspeaker system will bolster the company’s install offering, partly due to its FAST (Focussed Asymmetrical Shaping Technology) innovation. The system is designed to offer AV contractors and consultants an alternative solution in the form of a passive device offering balance of performance and cost, when active beam steering may neither be required nor affordable.
Tannoy’s QFlex will also appear alongside the Sentinel Monitor system, including all of the latest updates that render it fully compliant in any life safety or mass notification environment. Furthermore, daily seminars will be given to highlight the importance of beam steering products in PA/VA applications by TC Group’s vice president of AET (Applications, Engineering and Training) Graham Hendry, focusing on the latest innovations around QFlex.
The recently launched VX/VXP Series will also be on display, with the latter featuring Lab.gruppen’s new IDEEA (Intelli-Drive Energy Efficient Amplifier) power module, while the E Series, Lab.gruppen’s latest range of install-centric amplifiers, will be making its Frankfurt debut.
Visitors will also be able to experience Tannoy’s expanded portfolio of commercial install products, including in-ceiling (CVS, CMS), pendant (OCV) and surface mount (DVS) loudspeaker ranges.
