As part of Babyface Beijing’s refurbishment, the previous sound system in place has been replaced entirely with APG equipment.

On purchasing the club, Chinese entrepreneur Mr Dai was clear in his intention to ensure that the club provided high quality sound. He commented, “ want this club to stand out from the crowd, and for that, I have to have the best sound system and the best lighting available.” To help with his decision, Dai turned to local audio experts and APG distributor BVCAM.

The distributor arranged a demo for Dai at their dedicated APG demo room in Shenzhen, which proved to be very convincing. BVCAM’s Danny Huen explained that he was keen to hear Dai’s opinion, as he has heard many brands over the years. “He found APG to have a uniquely pure sound that set it apart from other brands, so he put our proposal on his list for consideration.”

Following the demo, Dai made a quick decision. He said: “I realised straight away that this was an excellent system and perfect for Babyface.”

BVCAM specified six APG SMX15 monitor speakers for the main room. Six APG TB218S subs take care of the low frequencies, supplemented by DS15s and SUB238s for side fill.

As well as the main room, Babyface also has a number of VIP spaces available for private hire. Usuallu reserved for karaoke parties, the King Room is equipped with APG DS12 and DS15 multipurpose enclosures on the lower level, with DS8s handling upstairs. An additional 12 smaller VIP rooms are equipped with two APG DS12s and one APG SUB138P each.
