The deal comes into effect on February 1st 2014, when APG takes over from the company's existing distribution partner Hills SVL.
The appointment consolidates TC Group’s relationship with the supplier – a Tannoy distributor since 2010. The arrangement will allow APG to also offer high-end amplification and processing technology from Lab.gruppen and Lake to its customers across the two countries.
“After building up a very successful relationship with APG over a number of years through Tannoy, we are delighted that we can now extend that to TC Group’s other touring and install brands," said Andrzej Sosna, CEO of Install and Tour for TC Group. "This appointment will consolidate a strong partnership that I am sure will have a very positive effect on the growth of Lab.gruppen and Lake in Australia and New Zealand, as well as giving APG the opportunity to offer optimised systems solutions to market, solutions that feature a combination of these complementary technologies."
Ken Dwyer, APG managing director, added: “We are delighted to be able to strengthen our relationship with TC Group, one of the audio industry’s most innovative companies. Our recent decision to restructure APG and focus 100 per cent on the commercial installation and pro audio markets sees us ideally positioned to take on the distribution and support of Lab.gruppen and Lake in our region.”
Although the move represents the start of new opportunities for both TC Group and APG, Miguel Hadelich, VP of Sales for Install and Tour at TC Group was keen to acknowledge the work carried out by Hills SVL over the past few years: “We thank the staff and management of Hills SVL for their support of Lab.gruppen and Lake in the past, and extend our best wishes for the future,” he concluded.
