Registration for the 37th ABTT Theatre Show, which takes place in the West Hall of London's Alexandra Palace for the first time on 24 and 25 June 2015, is now open.
This year's event for the sound, lighting and stage engineering industries will see all 120-plus exhibitors placed in the same hall, at a new venue that offers 1,500 free parking spaces.
Professionals who registered or visited last year, or were previously contacted by the organisers will receive an invitation to register for The ABTT Theatre Show 2015. Those who are new to the ABTT Theatre Show are able to register through this website. Registration before June 24th is free of charge.
“The move to Alexandra Palace gives us a long overdue opportunity to review our strategy and to create a contemporary event in a sympathetic environment for exhibitors and visitors alike,” said show director Roger Fox. “Whilst all the previous venues have been good homes for the show, they have had significant influence over the exhibitors and how they showed their product. We are now in a position to be more exhibitor led."
Seminars and presentations requiring a screen and PA system will be held in a room leading off the main space. The popular Test Bench area for detailed product demos, which was trialled in 2014, will return in 2015. It is also used for technical challenges and competitions.
ABTT is now in a position to offer exhibitors the chance to host practical product demonstrations in a custom-built facility. This will be in a space adjacent to the main exhibition hall.
“The benefit is very clear; it takes us right back to where we started," Fox continued. "The ABTT Theatre Show is all about performance and presentation. This new space takes us back to our Donmar roots alongside a 21st Century exhibition environment.
"Exhibitors will get better value than in previous years. Visitors can now explore the more practical side of the technical theatre industry at the show. We are acutely aware that it is a big deal for visitors to ‘drop their day job’ for a day or two to visit an exhibition. Turning our exhibition into a more ‘hands on’ event will make it a very productive day for our visitors.”
