Canadian production company and rental specialist Solotech is expanding further across North America with the opening of a new office in Nashville, Tennessee set up to develop new business opportunities in the field of international touring and special events.
In addition to serving existing customers, Solotech Nashville offers international tours and special events customers turnkey solutions for the rental of audio, lighting, video and rigging equipment.
“Nashville is the music city. We have several clients in this city and it was important for us to have a storefront there, to be closer to their reality," explained Martin Chouinard, executive vice president of the Rental division of Solotech.
Paul Owen has been appointed managing director of Solotech Nashville. Known for his work in some of the biggest stages and stadiums in the world, he brings with him over 35 years of experience in touring, with previous roles including vice president at Thunder Audio, monitor engineer and production manager.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to work for a company of this size. I have always admired Solotech’s work and I intend to lead the Nashville office towards unprecedented success," said Owen.
The new MD will work in partnership with Lee Moro, who joined Solotech in September 2014 as senior project director for tours and special events, and is very active in the touring industry. Moro has been based in Nashville for the past ten years and has worked with many renowned international touring artists.
Moro added: “Paul and I bring years and years of real-world experience to our clients. We have been in their shoes and we know what they expect. That’s why we make sure we have the best staff. Our people are some of the best on the market. They are proud and take their job seriously. They work together and are passionate about what they do”.
Finally, Dianna Mariotti has also joined the Solotech team in Nashville. As administrative assistant, she will assist Owen and Moro in their day-to-day tasks.
