BVE 2013 has just got underway at its new home – ExCeL London – for three days of product launches, seminars and much more.

Moving to the Olympic-sized venue has enabled the organisers to add two new seminar theatres, a conference and greater opportunities for networking.

One of the many new features this year is the Future of Media Summit. The invitation-only strategic conference will examine the future of the traditional broadcasting model, strategies for monetising content in the multi-platform world, as well as practical issues such as fostering the new generation of creative, payment models and licencing.

Seminar theatres returning by popular demand include the Production Theatre and Post-Production Theatre, The Audio Room and Broadcast Meets IT. In addition there will be seminars on The Cloud, Brands as Broadcasters and Live Event Broadcasting.

The list of confirmed speakers includes Andy Wilson, head of the Centre of Technology, BBC; Andy Tennant, controller of technology, production and facilities, ITV; David Daniels, senior technologist, BSkyB; and Francesco Donato, VP broadcast operations, Sky Deutschland.

Hundreds of exhibitors are set to attend, and many have already revealed their plans for the show. To see all the pre-announcements in one place, click here.
