Audio-Technica has announced it is sponsoring the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus Europe, which was recently launched by Yoko Ono at the Museum of Liverpool.

Now in its sixteenth year of operation in the US, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a state-of-the-art mobile audio and video production facility, providing young people with access to free songwriting and multimedia production workshops. Three on-board engineers work with students to write, record and produce original songs and music videos – all in a single day.

The Tour Bus has travelled across North America since its inception, completing hundreds of visits to music colleges, performing arts facilities and festivals, and the Lennon Bus Europe is now set to offer the same opportunities to young people across the UK and Europe.

Audio-Technica has long provided the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus with microphones and headphones as a contributing sponsor, and the European bus’ current complement of mics includes a wide array of Audio-Technica products, including M50 monitor headphones, ribbon and multi-pattern condenser 40 Series microphones, ATM510a dynamic vocal mics and broadcast microphones for video production activity.

Tom Harrold, Audio-Technica assistant marketing manager pro audio said: “The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus does an incredible job of providing free workshops to students in a truly professional facility. Audio-Technica is delighted to be involved with the bus and its work in inspiring a new generation of songwriters, performers and video producers, who will get the chance to record with some of our most popular high-end microphone models.”
