Publisher Biz Media – a branch of Datateam Business Media – is closing Audio Media International (AMI) magazine, effective immediately.
Since its launch in January 2015, following the merger between two market-leading titles Audio Media and Audio Pro International, Audio Media International (AMI) quickly became the essential technology resource for the pro audio end user. However, two acquisitions by different publishers in the short space of two years took a toll on the brand’s commercial performance.
“Having taken over as Editor just over a year ago, I have been proud of the publication’s reputation as an influential and respected source of product-related information in the industry, and it has been a pleasure bringing our readers the latest news from the recording and post, live sound, broadcast and commercial installation markets,” said AMI Editor Colby Ramsey.
“Professionals at all levels of the business, from up-and-coming engineers right up to veteran producers and studio owners, have contributed to AMI over the years, helping to mould the brand into an essential tool for keeping up to date with this ever-changing industry’s frequent developments. Having said that, I would like to offer a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved with AMI since its inception.
“It is with heavy heart that I must say that the magazine is no more, and I’m certainly going to miss working with some of the industry’s greatest musical minds to put the issue to press each month. It’s been nothing short of a fantastic, and extremely insightful journey!”
While the physical version of AMI will no longer be published, it is yet to be established whether the digital side of the business will be maintained in the future. Editor Colby Ramsey will be attending ISE 2020, so if you would like to discuss any opportunities or are simply interested in meeting at the show, please do not hesitate to get in touch via email@example.com or by calling +44 (0) 7773 408 154.
