Birmingham studio where Duran Duran and UB40 recorded launches crowdfunding campaign to avoid closure

Rain Studios in Birmingham, which has seen the likes of Duran Duran, UB40 and many other notable acts record there over the years is trying to crowdfund the sum of £250,000 to continue operating.

Said the studio’s owner Chris Poole on the GoFundMe page: "With the money raised we want to give something back to the community, offering Free rehearsal space, free recordings with a professional engineer, It’ll be open to colleges, schools etc, to experience recording in a professional environment, or just to rehearse for upcoming shows. We’ll also be offering free ‘air bnb’ for touring bands.
