Glasgow-based distributor CUK Audio is set to host a series of training seminars across the UK and Ireland to coincide with the release of the new X Series amplifier platform from Powersoft.
X Series is designed with the most advanced power supply present in any power amplifier, the manufacturer says. This is combined with "the most powerful DSP platform," a power density of 44,000 Watts in just 2U of rack space, and Dante enabled versions.
CUK advises there is much more to the new amps, which will be revealed during the events. The sessions will be centred mainly on the X Series, but will also include training on Powersoft’s Armonia amplifier control and monitoring software platform.
“We can guarantee it won’t be a boring death by PowerPoint. Based around the new Powersoft X Series amplifier platform, the sessions will give a thorough introduction to the new technologies involved and how they can be deployed in real life scenarios,” said CUK Audio MD Stuart Thomson.
“The sessions also include some demos that other manufacturers wouldn’t dare do. For example have you ever wondered what happens if you put 480V into your amplifier? Or just 35V? Or have you ever tried powering a touring amp with DC? Or powered an amplifier from another amp? Or mixed a gig on an amp? All this, and additional madness, will take place in these sessions.”
The seminar dates are as follows:
Monday 16 March at Orbital Sound, London
Wednesday 18 March at the Renaissance Hotel, Manchester
Friday 20 March at The Arches, Glasgow
Monday 23 March at the Hilton Templepatrick, Belfast
Wednesday 25 March at the Morrison Hotel, Dublin
