The Australian Export Awards recognised RØDE Microphones on 26 November, awarding it the ‘Manufacturing Award’ at its annual presentation dinner.
Australia’s prime minister, the Right Honourable Tony Abbott, was present at the awards ceremony and praised the company for “innovation in marketing strategy, the degree of export growth, and the creation of competitive advantage”.
“Their international success enhances our overall economic diplomacy,” commented national trade and investment minister Andrew Robb following the awards presentation. “They represent the vanguard of Australia’s international businesses, and the awards recognise that".
“This truly is the highest compliment that RØDE has been given in more than twenty years of business,” remarked RØDE’s founder and managing director, Peter Freedman. “We’re proud to be Australian – designing and manufacturing the world’s very best microphones right here in Sydney and shipping them to every corner of the globe.”
