Audio specialist Orbital Sound has announced the promotion of Adam Thorneycroft to the newly created position of operations director.
Thorneycroft’s promotion to the board reflects the firm’s growth across both rental and sales sectors, as well as its expanding reach into the European, North American and Far Eastern markets. He will now join the existing four-man board with immediate effect, working alongside managing director Chris Headlam; event and comms director Eric Simpson; technical director Bill Addison; and sales director Tom Byrne.
In his new role, Thorneycroft will oversee all operational aspects and processes of the company’s rental business across warehousing, engineering and logistics.
Managing director Headlam, commented: “This is an important step for Orbital and reflects the enormous contribution that Adam has already made to the smooth operation of our business. He has ably demonstrated his immense organisational skills, and has earned considerable respect throughout our staff. We have created the role of Operations Director to ensure that as our company expands and inevitably becomes more complex, its efficiency and smooth running can be maintained. Adam’s responsibilities sit across Orbital’s hire, project management, engineering and distribution aspects, and he is a very welcome addition to our board of directors.”
