Cadac’s senior development manager Peter Hearl and the CDC development team have recently featured in a video presentation of the company’s new digital mix platform, which can be viewed at the company’s YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/cadacsound.
The video sees Hearl and his digital products design team present an overview of the “fully vertically integrated design and production system” that led to the inception of both the CDC eight the CDC four.
Senior design engineer Glenn Ward explained: “CDC eight is our flagship live mixing desk. Not only is it built upon the latest FPGA and SHARC technologies but it provides a touchscreen based user interface that is right there with the very latest and best mobile device touchscreen experience. It’s one of the most user-friendly interfaces on any mixing desk in the world; effectively like a ‘glass cockpit’, allowing the engineer to see precisely everything he needs to see when he needs to see it.
“It changes the way you interface with the channel, using the new technology to its greatest advantage, rather than trying to copy analogue technology. It’s built with the future in mind – this is just the beginning. A scalable design that can truly satisfy all markets.”
