NAB 2017: DTS announces DTS:X Creator Suite
Tools give users the ability to mix and deliver immersive DTS audio content for cinema, Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and other premium home formats and services.
DTS is at the NAB Show in Las Vegas demonstrating its new DTS:X Creator Suite, a range of tools designed to provide professional content creators the ability to mix and deliver immersive DTS audio content for cinema, Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and other premium home formats and services.
It includes the DTS:X Encoder Suite, DTS Headphone:X Monitor - Home Video, and MDA Tools.
The DTS:X Creator Suite retails for $3,995 and will be available through Westlake Pro beginning late May 2017.
The Encoder Suite lets users encode, modify and verify audio bitstreams prior to multiplexing and authoring. It supports up to 11.1-channel and object-based encoding of DTS:X for Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray and other premium digital media formats, making it easier to deliver immersive audio content for the consumer market.
DTS Headphone:X Monitor – Home Video means users can mix immersive content without height speakers, whether mixing in or delivering an immersive audio experience for headphones as DTS Headphone:X. It can be combined with MDA Creator to create DTS Headphone:X content for Ultra HD Blu-ray and Blu-ray.
MDA Tools allows users to create object-based, immersive content with flexible solutions, featuring full DTS:X ecosystem support based on MDA: a royalty-free, open standard audio technology.
