New platform lets users secure their audio networks from unwanted changes and modifications, while also letting them scale and segment networks regardless of physical constraints.

Audinate is giving visitors to ISE 2017 the first opportunity to see its new Dante Domain Manager platform, a complete network management solution bringing enterprise-grade system administration to the AV world.

The company says that Dante Domain Manager makes audio networking more secure, more scalable and ‘more manageable than ever before.’

The new platform allows administrators to secure their audio networks from unwanted changes and modifications, and provides the ability to scale and segment audio networks regardless of the physical constraints of the network. It also lets integrators define specific AV device groupings by room, building and site, allowing for the creation of independent Dante Domains and enabling a single Dante Domain to encompass multiple IP subnets.

The network domain concept was first successfully pioneered by the IT industry to differentiate and manage multiple private networks within the same infrastructure. Audinate is applying this same approach to AV, customising the features to the needs of AV professionals and end-users so that the community may deploy the best strategies and practices of both AV and IT.

Dante Domain Manager provides ‘robust’ security for IT departments and AV managers, including user authentication and control, role administration, and integration with Active Directory. System managers gain complete visibility and accountability through a suite of user-defined dashboards, audit trails, alerts, and messages.

“Coupling AV and IT functionality requires deep consideration of the challenges addressed in the design, deployment, and maintenance of AV network systems,” said David Myers, COO, Audinate. “We worked closely with AV and IT integrators, end-users and our partners in the manufacturer community to make sure Dante Domain Manager provides the scale, flexibility, administration, and security of IT to professional AV systems.”

Audinate’s Dante Domain Manager will be available in the second half of 2017. ISE show attendees can find out more on Audinate’s stand #7-E190.
