PreSonus launches StudioLive AR USB-series
Hybrid mixers can create multitrack recordings in the Capture software, then mix, edit, and distribute from the Studio One 3 Artist DAW.
PreSonus has announced that it is now shipping its range of StudioLive AR USB-series hybrid mixers.
The series includes three models: the 18-channel StudioLive AR16 USB, 14-channel StudioLive AR12 USB and eight-channel StudioLive AR8 USB.
Packed with analogue connections and digital tools for live performance and studio use, StudioLive AR USB mixers are equipped with a Mac and Windows-compatible, 24-bit, 96 kHz, USB 2.0 audio interface that can capture all input channels and the main mix.
The new mixers can create multitrack recordings with one click in PreSonus’ Capture live recording software, then mix, edit, and distribute from the Studio One 3 Artist DAW. Both are included free.
Each StudioLive AR USB mixer also comes equipped with an onboard stereo SD recorder that lets the user record the main mix without a computer. The SD recorder can also be used to play up to 32 GB of MP3 and WAV files for programme music or backing tracks without needing a computer.
StudioLive AR USB mixers also feature the PreSonus Super Channel, which allows users to play audio from four stereo sources simultaneously.
All models are available immediately. US MAP/street prices are: $599.95 (AR16 USB); $499.95 (AR12 USB) and $399.95 (AR8 USB).
