SCV named 2016 Audix Distributor of the Year for EMEA
The supplier, which has distributed the brand since 2007, was awarded the title for the third consecutive year.
SCV Distribution has been awarded the title of "Distributor of The Year" for Europe, the Middle East and Africa by Audix Microphones for the third year in a row.
The criteria for the award is measured on significantly improved sales statistics, avid marketing contributions and both the quality and growth of artist liaison efforts within the EMEA region.
The last year has seen a number of Audix’s products experience a fairly dramatic rise in popularity including the M3 ceiling microphone system, Audix’s OM-Series live vocal microphones, and the D-Series line of dynamic instrument microphones.
“Audix has seen excellent growth in sales year-on-year in both the installed sound sector as well as the MI marketplace,” explained SCV’s head of pro audio sales Ian Young (pictured, left). “Audix’s range boasts an enviable product portfolio covering all of the bases when it comes to microphone applications; dynamic and condenser vocal and instrument ranges, USB mics, lavaliers, hanging and boundary mics, podium and gooseneck options, ceiling and wall microphones – the list goes on.”
Additionally, the recently announced “Performance Series” marks the company’s latest foray into wireless microphone systems, neatly augmenting its catalogue and bringing Audix’s sound to live scenarios where freedom of movement is a must. Last year also brought the announcement that after many years of service, Audix’s much-revered sales and marketing VP, (and Audix co-founder) Cliff Castle (pictured, right), would be retiring.
“I was honoured and excited to present this award to SCV at this year’s sales meeting. They have an excellent team, represent a range of quality products, and have positioned Audix as a premium brand in the marketplace,” said Cliff Castle. “In particular, I have enjoyed working with Ian, who joined SCV four years ago. He took Audix under his wing and passionately built the dealer network as well as the artist roster. I can say without reservation that as I step down and as Chris Doss takes over, Audix is poised for substantial growth in the UK.”
